$ 942,421 raised 2,689 Donors
Washkewicz College of Engineering has raised $ 285,674 from 311 Donors!

The Washkewicz College of Engineering has launched new and innovative programs this past year, many through the generosity of our most ardent donors.

We have initiated new undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering and in Construction Management. The university has created 11 new cross-disciplinary Integrated Degrees that combine majors from across colleges. The majority of those include engineering majors such as Computer Science, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, among others.

This #CSUGivingDay, we hope you will consider giving to support the next generation of engineers by making your gift.  You may direct it to the program, project, or discipline of your choice.  No matter the amount or where you give it, every contribution makes a difference. Giving Day has been instrumental in support of programs such as:

  • Our Fenn Academy that brings local school districts and industry partners together in educational activities designed to encourage high school students to pursue post-secondary education and careers in engineering.

  • We will be honoring Dr. George Kramerich, a long-time and well-beloved former faculty member in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering by naming a maker space laboratory in his memory. Gifts to this fund will help support the enhancements and equipment to that lab.

  • Scholarship support is critical, and every gift provides meaningful tuition assistance to students with financial need. Dr. Susan Carver, a former assistant dean and academic advisor, established the “Finish Line Scholarships” fund to help students in their final two semesters complete their degrees and successfully launch their careers. To reach that goal, we need the support of individuals, foundations, and corporations who are committed to helping students finish strong during their final year of study.

  • The ESports program recruits elite players nationally and internationally to compete in Smash, Valorant, Rocket League and League of Legends. Funding helps to provide scholarships to attract and retain players who are ranked among the top 40 internationally in their sport. Sponsorships of the team will help fund the program, provide state-of-the-art game stations and upgrade our current ESports Center in Fenn Hall.

  • Individual departments have their own funding needs, and anyone can contribute to a specific department.  The Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering has established their own endowed fund with a goal of raising $4,000 to support the Becky Laird Award and several student organizations within the college.  Becky Laird devoted 33 years of her life to the department and was described by former students as “the soul of the department.

Today, we ask you to “Give it Up for Giving Day 2026” and consider your own contribution to the College of Engineering.

Thank you for your support of our students and faculty. With your help, we are providing the talent our region needs.
