Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs

The Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service through engagement in the civic, cultural, and economic life in Greater Cleveland and the state of Ohio. Levin's engaged learning approach — a powerful combination of instruction and real-world experiences — ensures our students graduate fully prepared to thrive in meaningful careers.

Levin is recognized as one of the best public affairs colleges in the nation according to US News & World Report. Levin is ranked 3rd in the US in the specialty of Urban Planning and Policy, and ranked 13th and 20th in the specialties of Local Government Management and Nonprofit Management, respectively.

Since its establishment in 1977, Levin has gained a reputation for:

  • Training present and future generations of urban planners, nonprofit and for-profit leaders, public administrators and scholars;
  • Collaborating with neighborhood and civic leaders to address key challenges in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio;
  • Conducting applied and scholarly research that improves public policies and expands opportunities for communities and people; and
  • Facilitating the exchange of ideas and dissemination of information through forums and publications.

Your gift today will provide critical support to our students and help advance our important research efforts, such as our work in addressing infant mortality, minority entrepreneurship, and other community and economic development initiatives in our region.

Thank you for your support!
