Cleveland State’s Pre-Professional Fund meets the needs of our students by addressing the financial barriers students experience applying to professional health programs, law, and graduate programs. Now housed in the larger office of Career Development & Exploration on campus, nothing has changed but our office name! We are here to get students accepted here in Cleveland and across the country into competitive programs! Did you know that if can easily cost a pre-medical student $3,000-5,000 just to apply with no guarantee of getting in? Our office has a track record of success and meeting the needs of students.
Helping a student get through the application process without fear of paying their bills or worrying about how they are going to prepare for an entrance exam like the LSAT, DAT, MCAT, or GRE is a boost to confidence and preparedness for the process. Purchasing interview attire and helping a student feel their best when they need to be their best is a true gift that this fund provides.
For five years, we’ve sought out donors to help this fund grow and we know it is making an impact. Every dollar raised goes DIRECTLY to students and student success initiatives.
We want to do even more to help eliminate the financial barriers that students experience - and we need your help to do it!
With this fund, we further our goal of helping students get ACCEPTED. We’ve been breaking records; in the past two years alone, over 250 students have been accepted, 74% out of all CSU students that apply. This fund helps more students achieve their dreams.
Every dollar makes a difference!
- $25 and $50: Assists toward our overall goal of helping students achieve their dreams.
- $100: Purchases a set of books for a student studying for the GRE, DAT, or MCAT
- $500: Funds a private course scholarship for a student in need
- $1,000: Sends a student on an out of state interview OR covers the medical/dental school application fees for one student
Donations on Giving Day directly go to the Pre-Professional Fund, helping students prepare, apply, and interview for competitive professional programs around the country and remove as many barriers to access as possible. Thank you for your support!
