Sport and Entertainment Management Program
The Sport and Entertainment Management Program is housed in the Management Department of the Monte Ahuja College of Business and seeks to become one of the top ten undergraduate programs of its kind in the United States. The program and majors recently moved into the College of Business from the College of Education as part of Cleveland State University’s 2.0 Strategic Plan with a mission to help meet the growing needs of the sports and entertainment industries.
Careers within the Sport and Entertainment Industry are expected to grow 22% by 2030 according to the Bureau of Labor & Statistics. The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sport and Entertainment Management program provides a multidisciplinary, core business education and depth of knowledge in the management and marketing of organizations in the Sport and Entertainment industries to prepare graduates for careers in amateur, collegiate and professional sports as well as other entertainment organizations.
We are especially looking for donations to support:
- Scholarships for Cleveland Area HS students interested in majoring in sport and entertainment management
- Career develop opportunities for our students that include attending professional conferences, workshops and networking events.
- Student internships working with Cleveland State University Athletics
- Waivers for high school students in the City of Cleveland to attend our Summer Sport Management Institute and Workshops
- Student travel to compete in sports and entertainment case cup competitions
