This year the Cleveland State Women's Soccer team rewrote the program's record books with an amazing list of individual and team accomplishments! The group made Krenzler Stadium a nightmare for opposing teams going 8-1 at home, scored the most goals in program history, won the most games in program history, finished 2nd in the Horizon League regular season standings for its highest place in program history, and advanced to the Horizon League Tournament Championship game for the first time in program history! The group had an exceptional season on the field together, continuing the program's rise and redefining what it means to be a part of CSU Women's Soccer! All the while, maintaining our high academic standards with our average team GPA at 3.65.
This special group of student-athletes does a great job representing this program, the Viking Athletic Department, and Cleveland State University! In our efforts to continue providing them with the best experience possible, we need your support and generosity! With our goal of improving upon last year's donation totals and reaching the $14,000 mark this Giving Day, your gift will be used to supplement our team travel and equipment needs this year.
As we are currently making travel arrangements for our fun weekend of games in San Antonio this fall, we would LOVE to be able to bring the entire roster with us to share that experience TOGETHER!!! We would also like to supplement our equipment budget to provide some more items for the players (cleats, travel gear, rain jackets, etc.) and invest in additional upgrades to the locker room and office spaces. In order to do so, we need your help with hitting our goals for Giving Day this year to help make 2019 another special chapter for CSU Women's Soccer! Thank you!
