The Cleveland State Women's Basketball team is in their 1st season under new head coach, Chris Kielsmeier. "In my first season I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of wonderful people that have helped make my transition to Cleveland State go well. While we have not had the success on the court that we would have hoped for, everyone in our program continues to work hard and enjoy the process of building an elite program both on and off the court. I could not be more excited for the future." Cleveland State is currently 10-14 overall and 7-6 in the Horizon League. The program returned 7 players from last year's 19-11 team and were joined by 5 freshmen and 1 sophomore transfer.
