Cleveland State fencing is under the guidance of head coach Andy Tulleners, who began his second stint as head coach in advance of the 2017-2018 season. Tulleners is a two-time Midwest Fencing Conference Coach of the Year. In April 2018, the women’s fencing team was given the “Best of the Best” Team award with a cumulative 3.75 GPA, the highest team GPA in the athletic department. This year, CSU has the honor of hosting the 2019 National Collegiate Men's & Women's Fencing Championships from March 21-24 at the Wolstein Center.
