Pathways to Practice

The Pathways to Practice program exists to support students on their pathway to medical school. Most of the student we serve are underrepresented in medicine, including underrepresented minority students, first-generation college students, and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Students in the program may be pursuing their first undergraduate degrees, or are college graduates pursing postbaccalaureate studies to strengthen their preparations for medical school. Many are non-traditional students who are balancing school, work, and family responsibilities.

Pathways to Practice students often require financial assistance to:

  • Complete their pre-medical studies,
  • Pay for the many costs associated with applying to medical school, or
  • Provide emergency funding for unexpected expenses.

Your donation will be used for scholarships and emergency fund awards. We aim to engage 50 donors in support of this important program! Thank you!
